I'm New

Welcome

Come

(Step 1)
You’re invited to come and visit us at one of our services here at Kirkmont.  Both our traditional and contemporary services are designed for people at all stages in their relationship with God.  We’re excited to meet you! bring yourself, bring your family!

Connect

(Step 2)
Once you attend Kirkmont for a while, you’ll be encouraged to connect further by joining one of our small groups.  The goal of our small groups is to develop lasting Christ-centered friendships by getting together weekly, spending time in prayer and study, and just doing life together!

Care

(Step 3)
At Kirkmont, we believe you deserve the care of a church family, we aim to provide just that through meals, visits, prayer, and relationships.  We’ll also challenge you to empower us to care for one another and the world through financial support and volunteering.

When we Meet

Sunday Mornings

9:00 & 10:30 AM

What To Expect

How long should I expect the service to last? Our services usually last about an hour.

What types of things are we going to do during the service?  Let us put you at ease. Here at Kirkmont, we don’t embarrass visitors – we aren’t going to ask you to identify yourself in any way.  Also, you are welcome to participate in the service at whatever level you feel comfortable.

While our two services differ in style, in general you should expect at either service a few songs to be sung, since many of us view this as a way to worship God; our leaders will say a few prayers; and we will have a message from the Bible designed to makes God’s words practical and applicable.

What do I do with my younger children? Children, even noisy ones, are always welcome in our adult gatherings, but we also have several other options for you.  First, in the back of the sanctuary we have a “cry room,” a comfortable room for you to go be with your young child; you can continue to hear the service (there’s an adjustable volume control) but not be heard by others in the sanctuary.

If you’d like, we also have drop-off nurseries available for your infants through 3 years of age. We have excellent volunteers and paid childcare workers ready to care for your child.  We have green and blue canvas bags in the Narthex, with children’s bulletins and crayons for use during the Worship Services.

For Preschool—1st Graders, we have Kingdom Kids Children’s Church from 10:30—11:30 AM, in Room 130.  Children must be checked in and picked up at the door of Room 130 by a parent/guardian.  Finally, sometime before the sermon during the 10:30 AM service, you’ll have the option to send your 2nd—5th Graders to Kirkmont Crew Kidz Church.  Kidz Church is a time where we can teach the kids an age-appropriate Bible lesson in a fun, kid-friendly environment.  We will dismiss the 2nd – 5th graders to go down the hallway to Room 125, with our screened volunteers.  For your added peace of mind, kids must be “checked in” to Kidz Church either before the service or during the dismissal time; our check-in station is in the lobby area at the back of the sanctuary.

Am I expected to contribute financially? NO! We don’t think it should cost you money to learn about Jesus and the church.  Our offering is designed for those people who call Kirkmont their home church and who want to worship faithfully by giving a percentage of their income back to Him; these people also support the overall vision of Kirkmont.
