Jesus called the children to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Luke 18:16

Here at Kirkmont, we believe Jesus values children, so we do too. Your kids, even the noisy ones, are always welcome in our adult gatherings. We also provide several ministries designed just for kids.

Children's Ministry Videos

Infants - 3 Yrs Old

Our free childcare is available during both our 9:00 and 10:30 AM Worship Services, for the entire service or just part of it.  We have three nursery rooms divided by age: Seedlings 0—18 months, Sprouts 18 months—2 year olds, and Saplings 3 year olds.  Our nursery workers consist of a mixture of paid staff and volunteers and all of them see their role as not just childcare but as a ministry.  A typical nursery hour includes free play, interactive play, story time, snack, a craft, and, weather permitting, time outside in our fenced-in play area.  For your convenience and peace of mind, our nursery is located in the hallway adjacent to the sanctuary and can be accessed from the front or back of the sanctuary.

Cry Room

Parents and their Nursery-Aged Children

Our Cry Room is located at the back of the sanctuary and is a great place to hear and see the service but not be heard.  This room is equipped with comfortable seating, toys, a sink, and a diaper changing station.

Children's Church 10:30 - 11:30 AM

Kingdom Kids: Preschool - 1st Grade

During the 10:30 AM service we offer a Children’s Church ministry.  Children’s Church is designed to bring the church experience to the appropriate age level through music, Bible lessons, and often a visit from our puppet team.  As Children’s Church for this age group is for the entire service, we ask that you bring your child to the room and check them in before the service starts – but if you’re running late, we understand.

Kirkmont Crew: 2nd - 5th Grade

Children’s Church for this age group operates a little differently from Kingdom Kids. You can check your child in at the back of our sanctuary before the service, but then bring them into the adult gathering with you.  We think they’ll enjoy our worship-through-music experience.  Afterwards, we will dismiss them to Children’s Church for an age appropriate Bible lesson during the sermon.

Child Safety at Kirkmont

1. All volunteers and staff working with kids must pass a criminal background check.

2. All volunteers working with kids have gone through our formal membership process.

3. There will always be at least two non-related adults in the room with your child.

4. Every child must be checked in by a parent/guardian and will not be dismissed to anyone other than the parent/guardian with that child’s matching name badge.
5. We will not leave the room with your child (unless the entire class is evacuated due to an emergency).

6. If your child needs you for any reason, we will send a text message  to notify you.

7. Our volunteers are committed to interacting with your child in a Christ-like manner including only non-physical correction if needed.

8. If your child is mistreated by, or mistreats, another child, we will notify you.
